Back in 2013, after a successful archery season, we were sitting around the archery store discussing a broadhead failure that one of us had experienced that year. It was one of the most expensive single bevel broadheads on the market, one that we were very excited to hunt with. That conversation was the catalyst for what became Cutthroat Broadheads.

Our family has always shot single bevel broadheads, long before we knew anything about the Ashby studies or the current single bevel craze had started. We didn't have any special knowledge and there was no real reason that we were shooting that style of broadhead, we simply had brand loyalty to the broadhead that had worked so well for us for so many years.

As time went on and our knowledge increased, we realized that there wasn't a broadhead on the market that fit what we were looking for. Since we couldn't find the broadhead that fit our own personal criteria we set out on developing it ourselves. After about twelve months of research, phone calls, emails, and begging dozens of machine shops to take us on, we finally had a broadhead in our hands. We gave away our first prototypes in late October 2014 and probably sold our first pack sometime in November.

Those first few years were a wild ride. Each year we get better at our process. We are just regular bowhunters and regular guys, the success of Cutthroat broadheads is due to an aweful lot of folks. Thank you to all who have supported us!
